How should you prepare your surfaces before applying metal paint?

Before applying any type of paint product including metal paint we always recommend reading the preparation guidelines to ensure that application is done correctly. In most cases, ensure that metal surfaces are both clean and dry and if required sand the surface with sandpaper or wire brush to remove any loose rust particles, flaking paint or prior factory treatments. (For bare smooth metal surfaces, lightly abrade for maximum adhesion).

How many coats of metal paint should you apply to your surfaces?

For full protection and adhesion to the metal, we recommend applying a minimum of 2 coats to your chosen metal surface.
