Before starting to stain wood it's important to prepare your wood correctly. Firstly remove any dust and debris by either sanding, using a wax remover or a paint and varnish remover. Once completely clean, sand your wooden surface down to ensure a smooth and fresh surface.

Stir your wood stain thoroughly before application and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the tin. Using a smooth movement, apply the wood stain following the grain of the wood applying the wood stain evenly along the surface. Once finished, leave it to dry according to the instructions.
