With an extensive selection of furniture paints available, it can become a little bit overwhelming understanding which one to go for. That's why Rust-Oleum have narrowed your search down to four furniture paint options making it quick and easy for you to find your perfect finish and shade.
Creating a shabby chic look on your furniture has never been so easy thanks to the Rust-Oleum chalky furniture paint. With 110 shades to choose from, simply apply the chalky furniture paint onto the bare surface or over the old paint and varnish, then sand or scour the surface when fully dry. For the finishing touch, add a layer of Rust-Oleum furniture finishing wax to protect the finished look.
Alongside our extensive range of Rust-Oleum furniture paints, we also feature our Tikkurila Helmi range. These extremely durable and water based paints have been purposely designed to work on a multitude of interior surfaces including interior trims, furniture, doors, skirtings and cabinets. Available in Satin (Helmi 30), Matt (Helmi 10) and gloss (Helmi 80) finishes, these eco - friendly paints all feature low VOCs and can be colour matched into any colour of your choice.
Before application of your furniture paint ensure that your chosen surfaces is smooth, clean, dry and free from wax, polish, oil or anything else liable to cause adhesion issues. Previously painted or varnished surfaces should be lightly abraded if required, whilst bare metal surfaces should be suitably primed prior to applying any paint. Any surfaces where stain blocking may potentially become an issue such as knots or bleeds from timber should be primed over with an appropriate stain blocking primer.
