Tikkurila Helmi 30 Water-Based Satin for Woodwork is a water-based paint, designed for using on a multitude of interior surfaces such as interior trim, furniture, doors, skirting, kitchen radiators and cabinets.
Featuring an ultra low VOC level making it an eco-friendly paint, Tikkurila Helmi 30 is an advanced water-based paint delivering leading levels of application and opacity. Tintable into thousands of different designer paint colours, Helmi 30 dries to an incredibly tough film which can be both cleaned and washed time and time again.

Carefully remove any dirt and dust from new surfaces for ensuring the best possible adhesion. Prime new wood and wood fiberboard surfaces with Helmi Pohjamaali primer.
For absorbent porous surfaces, priming using a primer thinned 5–10% followed by intermediate sanding is recommended.
Then, paint the surface with an unthinned primer. Prime surfaces which needs special adhesion with Otex Akva. Prime knotty and yellowed wood with Multistop Primer.
The surface to be painted must be dry, the ambient temperature at least +8 °C and the relative humidity of air below 80%. A
relatively low temperature (approx. +15 °C) and high humidity (50–70% RH) prolong the open time of the paint, making application
easier.
