Sadolin Decking Oil replaces natural oils that have been lost through weathering, enhancing the natural beauty of your deck whilst also protecting it against mould and algal growth.
Sadolin 2 in 1 Decking Oil is key for nourishing and enhancing the natural beauty of your garden wooden decks.
A high quality and solvent based clear decking oil, its work through replacing decking's natural oils and also features UV light absorbers offering the ultimate level of protection against degenerating UV rays. Quick and easy to apply with a brush, this product provides long lasting results and ensure that your decking receives both excellent weatherproof protection and water repellency. Sadolin Decking Oil also protects your surface from mould and algal growth.
With a high V.O.C, and an overall drying time of 16 hours, this ultra performing decking oil provides up to 10m² per litre of coverage and is available in a clear finish and a 2.5L sized tin. For optimum results we advise up to 2 coats.

Timber surfaces must be suitably prepared, clean, sound and dry. The moisture content should not exceed 18% prior to coating. Resinous deposits should be removed with a scraper. Remove any remaining residues and degrease any exposed bare timber surface by wiping with a clean, lint free cloth, dampened with methylated spirits, frequently changing the face of the cloth. Allow solvent to fully evaporate before overcoating.
“Knotting agents” should not be used with Sadolin translucent woodcare systems. Special attention should be taken to ensure freshly sawn ends of decking boards are treated with a suitable preservative like Sadolin Ultimate Wood Treatment. Timber in ground contact (eg support posts) should be preservative treated in accordance with the relevant standards. Remove any surface salts left after preservative treatment with clean water and allow to dry.
Only use non - ferrous screws, nails and fixings.
Suitable Surfaces: Outdoor decking. Timber should be suitable for use as decking.
Sadolin Decking Oil is only suitable for use on bare or previously oiled decking. It is not suitable for use over water repellent preservative pre-treatments, unless suitably weathered.
Previously painted or varnished surfaces need to be sanded back to bare timber and treated as new wood
Do not apply if there is a risk of rain, or when air / substrate temperatures are below 8°C or above 25°C, or if the relative humidity is above 80% during application or drying periods.
Protect from frost and rain until dry. Failure to meet these requirements may adversely affect the drying, visual quality and durability of the finish. Ensure product is thoroughly stirred before and during application.
Sadolin Decking Oil is supplied ready for use. Do not thin. For best results always apply to dry timber. Allow 3 days after washing down or rainfall before commencing application.
Apply liberally but evenly in the direction of the grain by brush, pad or roller ensuring complete saturation of the timber and leave to dry. Avoid over brushing. Do not allow puddles to form. Subsequent coats may be required depending upon the absorbency of the timber. Special attention should be taken to ensure freshly sawn ends of decking boards are thoroughly treated with a suitable preservative.
Due to the high levels of weathering and abrasion that decks are exposed to, it is recommended that 1 or 2 coats of Sadolin Decking Oil are applied once a year as routine maintenance ensuring the surface is suitably cleaned prior to decorating.
On high traffic areas re-apply 1 or 2 coats of Sadolin Decking Oil as required.
