Based on a blend of natural plant oils and waxes, Osmo Polyx Oil Rapid (Clear Satin) is perfect for those quick turnaround jobs, thanks to it’s fast drying time
Osmo Polyx oil is a fast drying, extremely durable and hard wearing oil. Whilst being very water and dirt resistant, similar to the other osmo oils it is resistant to common liquid spillages such as water, juice, tea and wine.
Suitable to be used on your interior wooden surfaces such as floors and furniture, it is perfect for high traffic areas within your home, due to being saliva-resistant and sweatproof and also suitable for children’s toys and works to emphasise the wood’s natural grain and characteristics providing a richly warm clear satin finish.
Easy to apply and maintain, this highly professional Osmo Polyx Oil is based on a blend of natural plant oils and waxes, and has a coverage of up 24m² per litre. Also featuring a quick drying time of 4 hours, Osmo Polyx oil only requires 2 coats meaning that you can start and complete your interior project all within one day.

Before application, ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust. New or previously oiled worktops can be sanded prior to applying rapid oil if required, existing paint or varnishes must be removed back to bare wood prior to applying oil.
Any small cracks or large joints must be filled and then sanded down carefully to achieve an ultra smooth finish.
Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a broom or vacuum.
It is always advised that you test a surface before painting to be sure of the overall finish and drying time. Osmo Polyx oil rapid is ready to use, however it must be stirred thoroughly before use.
Apply a thin and even layer along the wood grain ideally with a floor brush and spread across the surface well for up to 15 minutes before wiping away any excess oil.
Drying times generally take up to 4-5 hours and require good ventilation. Once dried, lightly denib the surface and repeat the above process for a second coat.
For daily everyday maintenance a duster, mop or vacuum cleaner is sufficient. For more regular cleaning, we recommend using Osmo wash and care.
