Johnstone's Trade Aqua Undercoat Paint is a water based undercoat designed to be used under Aqua Water Based Gloss and other water-based paints.
Johnstone's Trade Aqua Undercoat Paint is perfect for use with our other 'topcoat' aqua range, a fantastic water-based undercoat ideal for interior and exterior wood and metal.
Easy to apply with a paintbrush, roller or paint sprayer, this Johnstone's Aqua Undercoat Paint feels, and applies flawlessly like a traditional undercoat but is quick-drying, reducing the overall application time. A ready mixed paint, the water based undercoat also features a low VOC level meaning it is better for the environment and has a lower odour making it a safer, less harmful product to use in your home.
With a drying time of between 1-2 hours, and a recoat time of 4-6 hours, this undercoat paint is available in various colourways including Brilliant white and dark grey and is available in a 1L, 2.5L and 5L sized tin.

Before application of Johnstone's Trade Aqua Undercoat paint all surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from any loose and flaking material. All bare wooden surfaces should be primed with Johnstone's Trade Aqua Undercoat, whilst any previously painted surfaces should be rubbed down with a fine waterproof abrasive and then rinsed thoroughly.
Ensure there is good ventilation during application and once drying.
Stir paint tin thoroughly before use and apply evenly without overspreading with a high quality synthetic paintbrush for optimum results.
