Designed to protect and rejuvenate metal, Hammerite Metal Paint aerosol has been designed to be applied directly onto finished metal or rust performing as a primer, undercoat and topcoat in one.
Hammerite Metal Paint - Hammered Black Aerosol 400ml is a durable and corrosion resistant decorative coating.
Easy to apply, simply spray the hammered aerosol metal paint onto the metal surface, and thanks to its special 3 in 1 formula there is no need to use a primer or undercoat - saving you both time and money. Providing a hammered effect finish which is smooth to touch and sheds water well whilst forming a barrier that not only seals out moisture but gives long lasting protection, both inside and out.
Available in a 400ml aerosol can. The Hammerite range is designed to protect metalwork from humidity, rain and rust and provides protection for up to 8 years.

To begin, it is recommended that smooth surfaces have been abraded and all loose and flaking paint has been removed. Surfaces must be clean from all dirt, dust and grease and removed with a suitable detergent, once cleaned wipe down with water and allow time to dry.
For optimum results, test a small area of your chosen surface and leave for 1 hour, if a reaction appears then remove all paint before applying Hammerite Direct to Rust Metal Paint.
Shake Hammerite Metal Paint aerosol can vigorously and in a vertical motion until the alligator ball is heard and then for a further 3 minutes.
To begin, apply light even coats from a distance of around 15cm, remembering to keep the aerosol can moving at all times (Do NOT concentrate spray in one spot). For maximum protection, apply 3-4 coats and allow around 15 minutes between coats.
Between coats it is advised that you upturn can and spray for 2 seconds to avoid any blockages. Once applied the paint should be dry in around 15 minutes.
If metal surfaces begin to look tired or shabby, simply repeat the processes explained in both the preparation and application sections.
