Sikkens Rubbol AZ Plus
Suitable to use on timber and metals and hard plastics suitably prepared with Sikkens Rubbol Primer Plus, the Sikkens Rubbol AZ Plus leaves a professional high gloss opaque finish.
A solvent borne wood and metal paint which has great coverage and flow, Sikkens Rubbol AZ Plus is best used as a mid-coat and topcoat on timber and metal substances that have been prepared in accordance with Sikkens specifications.
The durability generally depends on the quality of the substrate however the Rubbol AZ Plus generally lasts around 5 years when used in a 3 coat system.
Available in white, the Sikkens Rubbol AZ Plus features a touch dry time of 2½ hours and is suitable for recoat after 18 hours.

Ensure the timber surface is suitably prepared, clean and dry, with dust, dirt, wax and grease removed and it is allowed to acclimatise to its end-use environment. The moisture content should not exceed 18% prior to coating.
Degrease any exposed bare timber surface by wiping with a cloth dampened in a suitable sharp solvent. Certain timber species contain high levels of natural wood extractives or exudates and some softwood can be highly resinous. Resinous deposits should be removed with a scraper. Any remaining residues should be removed using a lint-free cloth dampened with a suitable sharp solvent, frequently changing the face of the cloth. Allow solvent to evaporate fully before overcoating.
The use of both eye and hand protection is strongly advised.
Sikkens Rubbol AZ Plus should be applied by brush or roller only in temperatures between 5°C & 30°C
