Satinwood Paint

A traditional interior paint which is commonly used on skirting, doors & other interior woodwork which is available in brilliant white or colour match products

Satinwood paint is a commonly used paint for interior woodwork & trim areas. It leaves a semi-gloss finish which is less reflective than a standard gloss paint. It is especially common with use on skirting boards, door frames & radiators so is usually used in brilliant white to compliment bold colour schemes on walls. It is also available to Colour Match into any colour if required.

Dulux Trade offer both a water-based and oil-based Satinwood paint depending on which you prefer. We would recommend using the water-based as it leaves less of a smell and doesn't yellow like the oil-based equivalent.

When to Use Satinwood Paint

Satinwood paint should be used on interior wood surfaces and interior metal surfaces. It is ideal to be applied onto window frames, skirting boards & radiators throughout the whole house.

Which Satinwood Paint is Best to Use?

Dulux Trade Satinwood is a high quality satinwood option which is extremely popular with our customers. Available in colour match which means it can be tinted into almost any colour you wish. It is a self undercoating and dirt resistant paint which is suitable for both domestic and commercial use. It is a solvent based paint and is easy to apply.

Dulux Trade also offer a water-based version of this product. The Dulux Trade Quick Dry Satinwood has low odour and doesn't yellow over time which makes it a longer lasting option. This is also available in white or colour match.

We would recommend the Leyland Trade Satinwood for small DIY projects as this paint offers great value when painting trim areas. Popular with decorators the Leyland Trade Satinwood is oil-based and currently only available in white. It leaves a durable finish which can be wiped down when cleaned.
