Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Acrylic Eggshell - Colour Match

New Surfaces

All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Powdery surfaces should be primed with one coat of Sandtex Trade Water Based Stabilising Solution. Polished or dense surfaces should be primed with Crown Trade Alkali Resisting Sealer or where a waterbased alternative is required Crown Trade Grip Extreme. Porous surfaces should be coated with a ‘mist’ coat of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Durable Acrylic Eggshell dilutedwith 40% clean water by volume. Where clean water is not available, apply one coat of Crown Trade Covermatt Drywall Primer. Any areas of surface filling after priming should be touched in with the priming or mist coat diluted as for main areas.

Previously Decorated Surfaces

All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied e.g. dirt, grease etc. Remove all loose, failing or suspect paint. Feather edges of sound paint. Organic growth must be removed, and the areas treated with Crown Trade Fungicidal Solution. Fill any fixing holes, cracks and shallow surface defects with Sandtex Trade Ready Mixed Filler. Patch prime bare, filled and powdery areas as for new surfaces above. Wash remaining sound paint with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants, frequently changing the water. Any glossy or eggshell surfaces should be wet abraded to provide a key. Rinse with clean water to remove all residues. Allow to dry. If after cleaning any areas are still contaminated with substances likely to cause staining and / or bleeding, patch prime with one coat of Crown Trade PSB Stain Block Primer.
