Designed to provide your surfaces with a smooth, more even finish, Craig and Rose All Purpose Undercoat is a multi-purpose undercoat that can be used on a wide variety of surfaces such as walls, ceilings, plaster, wood, MDF and composite boards.

Suitable for using under the Craig & Rose 1829 Chalky Emulsion, Eggshell and Gloss paints, this versatile undercoat paint can be used on both interior projects and exterior woodwork and can be easily applied to your surface before the application of your chosen colour. 

Craig and Rose All Purpose Undercoat - Light Grey is available in both a 750ml and 2.5L size tin and can be simply applied with a paintbrush, roller or paint sprayer.

How long does it take Craig and Rose All Purpose Undercoat - Light Grey to dry?

Craig & Rose All Purpose Undercoat is touch dry within 1-2 hours and can be recoated again after 4 hours.

Can I use Craig & Rose All Purpose light grey undercoat with all Craig and rose paint colours?

Not all of them. Some of the Craig and Rose paint colours will be better suited to the Craig & Rose All Purpose Undercoat - White. However there are still lots of paint colours that are suitable for using with the Craig & Rose All Purpose light grey undercoat including Troubadour, Flanders Blue, Angelica, Grisaille, Saxe Blue, Medici Crimson & Cadmium. 

Does Craig and Rose paint need an undercoat?

If you are looking to achieve a flawless aesthetic then it is recommended that you use a Craig and Rose undercoat. Undercoats are perfect for showcasing the depth of colour in each stroke.
