This deep brownish red shade made me feel like like it was an aged tone which is why I opted to name it after the year our family business began 1986. This deep shade is balanced with neutral and chocolatey brown undertones making it feel earthy which will bring a cosy and inviting feel to your home. Packed with warming undertones, 1986 is the perfect choice for any room orientation due, balancing cooler light and enhancing warmer!
Earthy tones can make any space feel inviting and homey as opting for nature inspired tones bring an instant cosiness to your space. Deep, reddish browns and warming ochres offer a strong but subdued shade linked with nature to offer a grounding but luxurious feeling environment. These shades pair beautifully with natural textures so bare this in mind when accessorising!

Remove any loose or flaking material from walls. Lightly sand glossy or heavily sealed surfaces. (Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable dust mask if dry sanding). Make sure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and dirt.
New plaster? Use Blend matt thinned with up to 10% water to seal the surface. For bare timber & metal apply suitable primer.
Give the paint a good mix. If using multiple tins, premix the whole amount before starting. Don't paint in damp or cold conditions (10°c or below).
Let's Blend! Apply 2 coats with a brush, roller or by airless spray. If your blend is a bold change, you may need extra coats. Paint will be touch dry in 1-2 hours, and ready for another coat after 3-4 hours.
Remove as much paint as possible from your tools before washing with warm water. Keep in a dry place, protected from frost.
