Our Osmo UV Protection Oil comes in Clear Satin or tinted colours, including Oak, Natural Matt, Red Cedar, Light Red Cedar and Light Oak. Whether you’re using this wood oil on exterior fences, doors, window frames, windowsills, garden furniture, timber cladding, balconies, sheds or summerhouses, you’re sure to be more than satisfied with its wood protecting effects.

Osmo UV Protection Oil protects against all of the following:

• UV resistance protects against wood greying due to UV damage
• Biocides protect against mould, algae and fungal attacks
• Microporous finish protects against cracking, flaking, peeling or blistering
• Prevents swelling, shrinkage, splitting or warping of timber
• Extremely weather resistant, protecting against water and dirt
• This high V.O.C. wood oil dries to a satin finish and is plant, animal and human safe when dry. Ideal for use on horizontal wooden surfaces such as oak, pine, larch or other soft woods.
  

1. Sand new wood down with a 120 grit abrasive.
2. Your wood must be left to weather for around 6 weeks before application to enable the dense grain of the wood to open up so that the oil can penetrate it better.
3. De-grease surfaces with methylated spirit and clean away any areas affected by mould, algae or moss.
4. Remove any old paints or varnishes from the wood.
5. Fill any holes in the wood with an exterior wood filler.
6. Stir the Osmo UV Protection Oil thoroughly.
7. Apply the oil thinly using a soft tip brush.
8. Wipe away any excel oil using a clean, lint-free cloth
9. Allow to dry for approximately 12 hours before applying another coat.

While Osmo Protection Oil can be sprayed, the recommended application method is to use a soft tip brush for the best results.
