Preparation

When it comes to application, preparation is key. Before application can begin, ensure that all wood treated with osmo UV protection oil tints is clean, dry and frost free.
For optimum results ensure that all traces of previous finishes such as paints and varnishes are removed to expose clean, bare wood through sanding or using a suitable varnish. Finally fill any holes or gaps with a suitable exterior wood filler.

Application

Before full application, It is always advised that you test a small surface before painting to be sure of overall finish and drying time. To begin, stir thoroughly before use and apply thinly along the wood grain, with ideally a soft tip brush.
Next, work the oil into the wooden grain surface and wipe off any excess oil with a clean, lint free cloth and allow it to fully dry.
Once the surface has fully dried, apply a second coat if required.

Care

Surfaces that have been treated with Osmo UV protection oil, can be regularly cleaned with Osmo Exterior Spray Cleaner.

If possible we will split your order so you receive goods in stock in a timely manner.
