Preparation

Before you start
Before using Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint, choose a warm, dry day (above 10°C) and clear any furniture from your deck.

Scrub the decking surface thoroughly with a stiff brush. This will eliminate any dirt, loose wood fragments, and loose coatings.
Rinse the deck surface thoroughly using a hose or, even better, a pressure washer. It's important to eliminate all traces of dirt to make Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint stick. For optimal results, utilize our Decking Cleaner & Reviver, which will enhance the bonding of the stain and extend its longevity.
Make sure your deck is fully dry before using Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint.

Application


Thoroughly stir Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint before use. Prior to application, make sure that you are happy with the colour by testing some Ultimate Protection Decking Paint on a small section of decking.
Load your brush generously with Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint. Begin in the corner of the deck, brushing along the length of the boards. Paint 3-4 boards at a time to avoid creating overlap marks. If your deck has small cracks, apply additional paint with the brush until they are filled.
We would suggest using two coats of Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint leaving 4 hours in between each. After 48 hours you will be bale to return your furniture to the decking.
