Key Features

Brand: Osmo

Drying Time: 4-5 Hours

Coverage (m²/litre): 12

Preparation

Before application, ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust. New or previously oiled worktops can be sanded prior to applying rapid oil if required, existing paint or varnishes must be removed back to bare wood prior to applying oil.

Any small cracks or large joints must be filled and then sanded down carefully to achieve an ultra smooth finish.
Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a broom or vacuum.

Application

It is always advised that you test a surface before painting to be sure of the overall finish and drying time. Osmo Polyx oil rapid is ready to use, however it must be stirred thoroughly before use.

Apply a thin and even layer along the wood grain ideally with a floor brush and spread across the surface well for up to 15 minutes before wiping away any excess oil.

Drying times generally take up to 4-5 hours and require good ventilation. Once dried, lightly de-nib the surface and repeat the above process for a second coat.

Care

For daily everyday maintenance a duster, mop or vacuum cleaner is sufficient. For more regular cleaning, we recommend using Osmo wash and care.

Delivery

At DCO, we aim to provide fast, reliable, and cost-effective delivery options for all our customers. We partner with DPD, one of the UK’s highest-rated couriers, to ensure your items are delivered securely and with minimal risk of damage or loss.

All orders processed from our warehouse before 2pm will arrive the next working day if you select 'home delivery'. Every parcel is tracked and comes with a 1-hour delivery window, plus multiple options for receiving your order safely. Our Ship to Shop option is cheaper (£2.99) but is a 2-day service so these orders won't arrive at your local DPD pickup point the next day.

If you have any queries regarding delivery options, or need an update on a delivery you are waiting for, please don't hesitate to contact our helpful team.

Looking for the cheapest delivery?

Try our Ship to Shop option - £2.99 (Free on orders over £30) - allowing you to collect your order from a local DPD Pickup point at a lower cost, while still enjoying tracked and secure shipping. This service is a 2-day service so if you need your paint the next working day or on a weekend, you will need to select home delivery options at checkout.
