Preparation

Before application, ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and dust free.
For optimum results ensure that all traces of previous finishes such as paints and varnishes are removed to expose clean, bare wood through sanding.

Application

Before full application, it is always advised that you test a small section of your chosen surface before treating fully to be sure of the overall finish and drying time.

Stir thoroughly prior to use. Osmo oils dry via oxidation, so it's super important to ensure that you have good ventilation before and during painting for premium results. Start by applying a thin and even layer to your wooden surface using a fine bristled paintbrush.

For best results, remove any excess oil from your surface with a clean, lint-free cloth, leave the surface to dry for up to 8-10 hours and follow up by lightly sanding/ de nibbing the surface. To finish, apply a second layer of Osmo Polyx oil and allow it to fully dry.

Care

To maintain the upkeep of your treated wooden surface, we recommend cleaning with a duster, floor mop or hoover.

For regular cleaning, we recommend using Osmo wash and care floor cleaner.
