Prior to use, wooden surface must be clean, dry and frost-free. Osmo Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw is a ready to use product and does not require any thinning, therefore all that is needed before application is a stir of the product. 
Any old paints and varnishes must be completely removed prior to use, whilst any small cracks, larger joints or holes in wood should be filled (with Osmo Wood Filler). Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. Applying Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw over very textured or coarse surfaces could appear more white.

Using a flat brush, floor brush or Osmo microfibre roller, apply Osmo Polyx Oil Effect Raw - 3044 thinly along the wood grain and spread throughout well. Any visible white pigments must be completely removed before allowing the surface to dry. Once first coat has been applied, allow to dry for approx. 24 hours under good ventilation conditions. 
After drying, quickly apply a second coat also thinly. When renovating or recoating an already oiled surface, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

To maintain optimum results of your treated wooden surface, we recommend cleaning with a duster, floor mop or hoover. For regular cleaning, we recommend using Osmo wash and care floor cleaner.
