Having trouble blocking out old stains? On interior surfaces, Zinsser Cover Stain dries quickly and has great hiding power providing outstanding stain killing and enamel undercoating performance. Stains of all kinds are permanently sealed so topcoats are blemish free.
Designed to work effectively on nicotine and water stains, Zinsser Cover Stain Primer can be applied to new wood trim which can be primed, sanded and top coated the same day, saving both time and money.
On exterior surfaces, Zinsser Cover Stain has a unique formulation that delivers full penetration and flexibility on all surfaces, especially dimensionally unstable wood panelling and trim, where few oil-based primers can succeed. Cover Stain helps to also resists cracking and peeling and is compatible with all decorative top coats.
Proving up to 9.8m2 per Litre of coverage, the Zinsser Cover Stain is touch dry within 35 minutes and recoatable in 2 hours. Available in various paint tin sizes including 500ml, 1L, 2.5L and 5L, to choose your tin of choice simply use the dropdown menu provided above.

Shake or stir before using. In most cases only one coat is necessary to prime most surfaces. If excessive absorption occurs over very porous surfaces a second coat may be required. For best results prime entire surface before painting. Apply with a natural or synthetic bristle brush, roller, pad or sprayer.
