Providing protection for up to 10 years, Sandtex Trade Eggshell X-Tra has been specially formulated for long term protection of exterior wood and metalwork, helping to resist cracking & flaking.
An exterior wood and metal paint which leaves a professional eggshell finish. This solvent-based trade paint flexes with the surface it is used on to prevent flaking & cracking.
The Sandtex Trade Eggshell X-tra paint can be applied by either brush or roller and leaves a smooth finish on wood and metal. It is formulated with added inhibitors to reduce UV damage and give the substrate long-lasting protection.
It is extremely durable and ideally used on exterior joinery and suitably primed metal.

Drying Time: Touch Dry 4-6 Hours, Recoat After 16 Hours
Before application, surfaces should be clean, dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of materials. If applying to new wooden surfaces, rub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper and around sharp edges, once completed remove all dust.
Treat knots with two thin coats of fresh knotting and fill any holes, open joints and surface defects with a suitable ready mix filler. Once completed and if required prime with one coat of Sandtex Trade Flexible Primer.
If applying to new metal surfaces, surfaces must be clean and free from anything that will interfere with the materials to be applied. Wash with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove oil, grease or any other contaminants, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow to dry and prime with one coat of Sandtex Trade Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat.
Stir well before and during use. For optimum results, apply with a synthetic or bristle brush or short/medium pile roller. Maintain a wet edge and on timber lay off in the direction of the grain. Avoid excessive de-nibbing in-between coats. Ensure the previous coat is fully dry before further application.
If maintenance is required, surfaces may be washed with a warm water and liquid detergent solution to remove surface dirt prior to application.
