A unique water-based sealer for porous and potential problem surfaces. Zinsser Gardz is formulated to deeply penetrate and dry to a hard, moisture resistant film that seals and binds down porous, chalky and crumbling surfaces, paints and textured finishes.
Zinsser Gardz takes the “problem” out of problem surfaces and work through deeply penetrating into your surface and drying to a rock-hard, water-resistant finish. It also protects surfaces from damage during the next redecorating project.
With an overall coverage of 5-10m2 per Litre, Zinsser Gardz is touch dry within 30 minutes and recoatable in 3 hours, and is recommended for use on damaged drywall, new drywall, spackling and joint compound skim coats, plaster, calcimine, uncoated wallpaper, wallcovering adhesive residue, textured paint and more.
Available in a wide range of paint tin sizes including, 500ml, 1L, 2.5L & 5L, to select your tin size of choice use the dropdown menu provided.

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of contamination, For best results remove loose wallcovering and residual wallcovering adhesive using a good quality Wallpaper Stripper. When dry, Gardz may be top coated with any standard architectural water-based or solvent-based primer or topcoat paint.
