A unique water-based sealer for porous and potential problem surfaces. Gardz® is formulated to deeply penetrate and dry to a hard, moisture resistant film that seals and binds down porous, chalky and crumbling surfaces, paints and textured finishes.
Zinsser Gardz® takes the “problem” out of problem surfaces. Deeply penetrating, it dries to a rock-hard, water-resistant finish; this protects surfaces from damage during the next redecorating project.
With an overall coverage of 5-10m2 per Litre, Gardz® is touch dry within 30 minutes and recoatable in 3 hors, its recommended for use on damaged drywall, new drywall, spackling and joint compound skim coats, plaster, calcimine, uncoated wallpaper, wallcovering adhesive residue, textured paint and more.
Available in paint tin sizes including, 500ml, 1L, 2.5L & 5L.
Application & Coverage
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of contamination, For best results remove loose wallcovering and residual wallcovering adhesive using a good quality Wallpaper Stripper. When dry, Gardz may be top coated with any standard architectural water-based or solvent-based primer or topcoat paint.

- Next day orders placed on Thursday evening or Friday before 1pm will be delivered the following Monday.
- A Saturday and Sunday delivery service are also available if you need your order sooner.

- The majority of our wallpapers are kept in stock, however a small selection of papers are supplied to order and therefore have a longer delivery lead time, typically upto 7 working days. This will be made clear within the product description where applicable.
