Ensure surface to be coated is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, grease or any other contamination. Previously painted surfaces in sound condition should be abraded and degreased prior to application of Blackfriar Metallic Paint. Bare or new surfaces should be primed with the appropriate Blackfriar Primer
Stir thoroughly prior to use with a broad stirrer.
The product may be applied by using a soft brush, short pile roller or spray. Apply the paint as evenly as possible to maintain an overall consistent finish.
Like all metallic paints the most uniform finish is achieved by spraying. Application marks can be left in the film when brushing and rollering. Do not overwork the wet paint film when brushing or rollering.
Do not use under cold (less than 10°C), damp or humid conditions. Surfaces subject to high wear (eg. handrails) or high humidity (eg. kitchen or bathroom) can cause the metallic finish to prematurely tarnish. It is advisable under these conditions to overcoat the Metallic Paint with Blackfriar Quick Drying Clear Varnish.To read our full delivery information please click here.
