For use on interior surfaces, Johnstone's Trade StainAway Paint is a high-opacity, water-based paint which is primarily useful for blocking a wide variety of staining. It permanently isolates smoke damage, nicotine damage as well as water stains and a wide variety of other types of staining too.
This Johnstone’s Trade StainAway is both a primer and finish in one product, which means that in just two coats, your walls will look brand new with minimal effort too! Leaving a stunning flat matt finish the Stainaway will leave your walls looking perfect.
An extremely durable paint, the Stainaway is Class 1 Scrub Rated and gives the same stain blocking performance when applied to a variety of suitably prepared and primed surfaces such as metal, wood, melamine, glazed tiles etc.
As a water-based paint is quick drying (touch dry in 1 hour) and can be recoated in around 4 hours.

All surfaces to be paint with Johnstone's Trade Stainaway should be clean dry, and free from loose and flaking material. Rub down previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly.
When water damage has occurred ensure the leak is fixed and the area is dry before painting.
Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Do not breathe spray. Wear respiratory protection.
Stir well before use. Easy to apply by brush or roller. Also suitable to be applied by spray.
Do not apply in temperatures below 8°C or in damp conditions.
