Osmo Top Oil is a highly durable, professional worktop oil that has been purposely designed to work on wooden worktops and table tops. Providing your surfaces with a tough, durable and lasting finish, this durable oil helps to enhance the natural beauty of the wooden surface.
With an excellent resistance against a number of substances including wine, beer, coffee and tea, the surface does not begin to peel, flake, crack or blister overtime and is completely food safe. These types of liquid spillages will tightly bead on the surface without leaving any marks and can simply be cleaned by wiping over with a cloth.
Based on natural oil, this Osmo top oil has a high V.O.C and generally will only require 2 coats for optimum results. With a coverage of up 24m² per litre and an overall drying time of 9 hours, it is also suitable to be used in areas which have high humidity levels.
In particular the 3058 Osmo top oil provides an emphasis on the wood’s grain and natural characteristics providing a warm and rich effect without a sheen.

Preparation prior to application is key, so to begin ensure that your kitchen work surfaces and worktop are cleared of dirt and dust free.
Fill any small gaps or larger joints that may be appearing on your surface and ensure that any pre-existing paint or varnishes have been removed.
Before application can begin, it is always best to test a small section of your surface to ensure that you are happy with the overall finish and drying time.
Start by applying a thin and even layer of worktop oil along the wood grain using a soft tip brush and work into the wooden surface. Remove any excess oil with a clean lint- free cloth.
Allow the surface to fully dry with the appropriate amount of ventilation and lightly denib/sand the surface, ensuring you remove any dust particles before applying a thin second coat.
The grain of the wood is enhanced once this product has been applied and if the final finish is not shiny enough, buffing it with a cloth will create a sheen.
