Cuprinol Anti-Algae Decking Cleaner 2.5L is an all in one powerful detergent cleaner that has been specially designed to remove dirt, grease, algae and mould to prepare decks before treating.
Not only is Cuprinol Decking Cleaner perfect for using on decking, it’s also suitable for using on patios and stonework and is ideal for preparing your decking for oiling and staining. Providing up to 12m²/L of coverage per litre, generally only one coat is required with a drying time of 16 hours (Drying times can vary depending on the nature of the surface and the weather conditions).

Before full application of Cuprinol Decking Cleaner can begin, ensure that any excessive organic growth and soiling has been removed fully through the use of a scraper, stiff brush or broom.
Before getting started, we always recommend testing out a small area first before getting started with your project, to ensure you are happy with application and suitability.
For heavy mould and algae growth, it is advised that you apply undiluted to your decking surface, whilst for areas of lighter growth dilute with an equal amount of water.
Cuprinol Decking Cleaner can be applied through a brush, spray or watering can (fitted with a rose), if you are using a sprayer, make sure to use a coarse (airless) spray to help avoid any misting. Next, scrub the affected area with a stiff brush, leave for a couple of minutes and then rinse off with water and allow it to fully dry before beginning any type of decking treatment.
Once Cuprinol Decking Cleaner has fully dried, your decking can be finished off with any of these cuprinol products of your choice -
